Stopped there looking for breakfast food after an appointment with the VA. They were open, service and food was great . I'd go back again n

Super! Great food, great service, huge portions. Came here at their busiest time and these people work hard and fast. They still are polite and attentive.

We are from N.J. and when we are home sick for our favorite dinners.. we go to Smiley's Diner. Good food, nice staff, and clean. Here's a photo of how I got my plate. The toast was designed. 👍

Had a great experience at this restaurant. Food was good and service was great. It was a nice to find after driving for so long and it was close to our hotel. Barbara our waitress was the best!!

Seated quickly, excellent service, very nice down home atmosphere. Excellent place for the entire family.They can handle small to large parties very quickly.Food was pretty good, we only had waffles and scrambled eggs, so complaints here.Waffles are dinner plate size. One can feed two.

Good food, good service, reasonably priced. Excellent fries. Bonus points for the tall spoon in my iced tea without having to ask.

This place is a cozy homey diner. I've been in here with my family for lunch and in here real late with friends for midnight dinner and both times the food was real good and the service was real friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.

Breakfast at Smiley'sPlain diner food is fine at Smiley's. I like their bacon and eggs and grits. Sometimes their grits are watery. Their breakfast potatoes were a pile of cooked potatoes with the fried onions and peppers on top. Their coffee is a little weird. It might just be exceptionally strong. My husband likes their soups. I don't recommend complicated omelettes or dinners. A sandwich for lunch or dinner should be okay. Service is excellent and friendly. There is enough parking. Smiley's is usually crowded, so try it and let me know. I do still go there, so you know it's not awful.

We got a cheesesteak and 2 eggs, the bill was $29. Apparently they have a late night $3.79 service charge to guarantee a tip for the waitresses. Not cool. $30 for a cheesesteak and 2 eggs? Really? There was 4 pieces of hair on the table. My plain water tasted like lemon. The waitresses only have like 3 teeth each.

First time we went there for dinner. It was delicious. The food was seasoned just right.The mini meal was enough for two meals for me.Our server Mike told us that he was new but he looked like an old Pro and was great at customer service and being attentive to us. It was a pleasure to give him extra tip.

1st time there. Very clean. Friendly staff. Very courteous and keeps a eye on their customers for needing anything else.I ordered a Entree which include, soup or salad. Then your meal you desire. And it includes a dessert. Entree was Steak and Shrimp Scampi. Dessert was rice pudding. Every soup, dessert and other items are HOMEMADE AND VERY FRESH. You will not be disappointed.

Friendly staff - quick service - generous portions - average prices. Will definitely return😊

Love this place!! Prices are great, large portions always leave with a doggy bag never had a problem with service the three times that I've been there. Large selection on the menu. Clean friendly

I came here with a friend close to 6pm. A waitress comes by to take our drink order. She says that she will be back since I didn’t know what I wanted for food yet. More than a few minutes goes by (over 5 at least), so I flag down another waitress standing near a manager to ask what happened to our original waitress. We thought she went on break or something. The manager tells the other woman to just take over the table. A few minutes later, my friend and I saw our original waitress yelling and flailing her arms in the kitchen with two other people. We did not make out any actual words but we heard noise all the way from the back corner table. There was a huge chance it was about us. Word of advice, it is a bad idea to do that in front of swinging doors with visible plexiglass in the middle. We were disgusted by what we saw. On a positive note, the second waitress was very nice and attentive. Our food was very good too.

Totally mistook this place for the Denny's right next store but definitely had a better meal than if we had actually gone to Denny's. It's like having a home cooked breakfast 😊

The food is really good at a reasonable price..the portions are enormous..youll need a take home container..this place will become my favorite of all diners..not to mention the staff is super friendly

Absolutely love this place to eat at. Humungous portions for the money you pay for it. Always end up taking something home to eat for later or tomorrow for an additional meal. Food is always great tasting, fresh ingredients, served hot and not much waiting for it to arrive at your table. Friendly servers and the people who come here seem to be very friendly as well. Smiles all around.

Great diner and lovely friendly staff. The place is neat and clean and the ambience is pretty good too. I personally liked everything I tried from here including Biscuits and gravy, chicken quesadillas, wings, appetizers like Mozzarella sticks, nachos, onion rings and so on. Best part is that this place is open 24 hours. We have been here several times whenever we get some late night cravings. Easily accessible on route 273. Would definitely recommend this place to all.

Nice little diner, quick and friendly service. I had the Italian sausage omelette - DELICIOUS!! Their desserts looked amazing, but we were too stuffed to partake!

It's a nice local diner. The staff is very friendly, and the food is typical diner food, but well made. I don't go here often, but when I do, I enjoy it.

We went here because the Denny’s next to it wasn’t accepting cards, and not were we happy! The food was really good for a diner and they gladly switched grilled chicken for breaded/fried chicken. All the waitresses were cheerful and chatty even at 9 pm and the whole place was upgraded and clean .

Food is SLAMMIN. Hefty portions and really nice waitresses. Need more staff late at night though

The portions were great the food was amazing. There was 4 of us and the bill was under 60.00. We had a handicap person with us. Smiley's diner service staff was great. They made sure to find us a table that did not rock or move. We were all very pleased.

This place just opened about a month ago ( 4/1/18 ). We stopped by on 5/1 to try it out. Not busy at all. We had a late lunch so we weren't that hungry so we decided to go with small dishes. Unfortunately it seems this place doesn't do small. Our dishes were HUGE! The food itself was decent. I got an open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. My wife got the spaghetti with meatballs. Both were good but not great. Maybe if we had gone hungry my review would be different. The server Megan was very friendly! The menu is very big with a wide variety to choose from. We definitely will be back with a bigger appetite next time.

Smiley's was very good. Friendly staff, tasty food, reasonable prices. Especially with my nieces 10 percent student discount from U of Delaware. I thanked the owner for offering students this discount.

Fantastic took my wife and Granddaughter there. Once again wait staff was Pleasant and the food was so good. The food comes on a big plate, I took food home again for another meal So Good.

Authentic Dinner, love the food. The last time I went one of the tables was cracking and busted, hopefully they put some money into upkeep and don't let this place go. This place is hands down better then the Denny's next door. Be warned although it's 24hr, late night they charge a service fee to keep the deadbeats from not tipping.

I have eaten here twice. The food isn't bad but I just had a bad experience with this place that is unacceptable! I want people to know that if you eat here between 11pm-5am you will be charged an extra 10 percent on your bill. When I got my bill I noticed an extra 7 dollars on my bill. It said svr charge. I asked the lady at the register what that was and she said to me that is the price of being a 24hr diner. I said what?! She said that after 11pm the owner charges customers an extra 10 percent to supplement the waitress's tips. I always tip well. If anything, this extra 10% forces me to leave a smaller tip. The owner of this diner can STICK IT! I never heard of such a thing and I WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER EAT AT THIS DINER AGAIN. Servers getting screwed on their tips is not my problem. You chose to be a waitress. Screw this diner and the owner!!!!

Good clean, family friendly dining. They serve breakfast all day and have a great selection. Staff is very friendly. Almost all the comforts of home.

So glad theres a better option for breakfast food! Banana walnut pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and all of it was tasty. My friend went with a breakfast burrito and was also very satisfied. The place overall has exactly what a diner needs. Staff was very friendly and the service was quick and we wanted for nothing because our server anticipated everything before we could ask. 5 stars well deserved!!

Hungry man special was delicious. Owner walks around and genuinely wants to make sure you are satisfied with everything. Staff was a little disorganized with who had what table but had no impact on my experience and they are newer. Well done.

I've been coming to this restaurant for over an year. I've noticed that Smiley's don't hire African Americans. They have only 1 black on staff assisting with servers. Our culture always frequent these places to eat or help with increase in business? Why isn't we're not good enough to be employed by Smiley's?

Staff very friendly, food is terrific and very fair prices for a diner and also wide selection of great food in menu. Makes it very much difficult to decide so be prepared!

Friendly service and clean comfy atmosphere but that's about all I can give as far as a recommendation. Open 24/7 for those late nights. Figured I'd try this Newly listed restaurant on my # Localguide Google list and contribute my findings. Overpriced first off (including my receipt, OJ $2.99?!?) for the serving sizes, quality of food -- potatoes overcooked and meat not fully cooked. Layout at the register to pay is very small, confined tight space and in others space that were dining. I couldn't imagine colder weather with everyone in coats. Good luck with your grub here.
